Rock Leopard Brewing Co. Craft Beer Can Illustration

An illustration for Rock Leopard Brewing Co. a new craft micro brewery based in London.

With this first label, I wanted to create the world in which the beers would live, A futuristic world with gloopy aliens and strange characters.

As with all my work, I'm hoping the viewer will get lost whilst looking at it, finding something new every time they looked.

Central London, modern cities and future worlds became an inspiration based on the beer name, although I wanted a hint of London's Victorian past, The beer name brought characters such as Jack the Ripper to mind.

The illustration had to work with the existing can branding (Designed by ZumoJuice) and make the can stand out in the local bottle shop so I wanted a bright colour pallete to grab attention.

The piece was sketched in pencil, then inked with Indian ink, scanned and coloured digitally with a Wacom tablet.
